Lol, Get Fucked, Government
The DoJ’s suit against the Broadview Six was dismissed with prejudice in a major win for the First Amendment

The trial against the group known as The Broadview Six ended up never happening in a serious win for the American people. It was revealed that there were multiple cases of misconduct in grand jury hearings, resulting in the case being dismissed with prejudice, meaning that the suit can’t be refiled. Ever. I like to think about it ultimately as the judge going “Nope, I’m not going to listen to you and fuck you for having the audacity to even file the suit in the first place”.
The suit itself was an obviously retaliatory move against the group in a protest against ICE’s immoral and appalling immigration crackdown. The goal here was to bury the defendants in legal fees as a way to silence their protest. It was an attempt to send a message that speaking out against the government’s heinous policies and disgustingly corrupt behavior was only going to end in punishment.
This is a major win for the American people because it’s shown that we can stand up to the regime and uphold the core principles of the Constitution. The group plans to apply to Trump’s new $1.776B slush fund for those who were “targeted by the DoJ” (really meant to pay out the J6 insurrectionists for, you know, attempting a coup). The goal here is to highlight how corrupt the fund is, since accepting their application means they need to admit that they weaponized the DoJ against the Broadview Six and not doing so goes to show that the fund really is just to pay off the insurrectionists.
